Sell My Car Leeds
July 26th, 2011 by admin

sell my car leeds
Diesel same price as petrol?

I kinda messed up the other question so here goes... I am a consultant I drive up and down the country but in some local parts of west yorkshire in the UK (Around Leeds) garages have been selling petrol at higher prices (or similar prices) than diesel. This poses an issue as my next car was going to be petrol but latley you seem to get little in the way of performance versus MPG.

Trust me I am not making this up and I know diesel used to be cheaper than petrol, but why is it turning the other way round? Is it something to do with emissions? Is there any point in buying a petrol when petrol is max 4 - 5 p a litre cheaper?

It is not the Government who has decided that diesel should be more expensive than petrol. The fuel producers claim that because so may people are driving diesel cars they cannot cope with the extra demand which automatically inflates the prices.
Silly me, there was me thinking that the producers were ripping off the customers to inflate their profits in the same way as the domestic fuel suppliers are doing.
The wholesale prices of a barrel of oil and the gas and electricity went up so the retail prices went up.
Then the wholesale prices came down. Guess what?
