Miami used GMC and Buick dealer to welcome all new Buick

In Miami, used GMC or Buick vehicles are synonymous with one thing: trips to the filling station.  Many people drive, in Miami, GMC Sierra trucks because of their great off-road capabilities.  But, even if you can find a Sierra at a Miami GMC Sierra used dealer, the price tag can still be high.  Still, GM engineers know how much driving a GMC or Buick vehicle can mean to residents of Miami.  Used GMC and Buick vehicles may be hard to come by, but have no fear.  GM will soon release a new Buick that is unlike anything GM has ever put its GMC or Buick badge on before.  Needless to say, the public will be impressed.

The object of affection is the 2012 Buick Lacrosse sedan.  In the past, the Buick badge in general has been thought of as symbolizing oversized vehicles that have been specifically manufactured for old people.  But thanks to some key design changes and incredibly efficient new technology, the 2012 Lacrosse is getting some much-deserved respect.  When it finally hits dealer lots, it will no doubt take the public by storm as well.

The 2012 Buick Lacrosse is so impressive thanks to its employment of GM's new gasoline-electric powertrain engine with eAssist.  eAssist can be described as GM's version of a hybrid vehicle, but GM decided to stay away from this terminology, feeling that the market is now being flooded with hybrid vehicles and thus, the term doesn't necessarily indicate anything special.

The 2012 Lacrosse, however, is special.  The aforementioned technology allows for the large sedan to achieve 37 miles per gallon during highway driving.  In the city, the sedan readily achieves 25 miles per gallon, which is still an impressive feat considering the size of the Lacrosse.  These kind of numbers trump many subcompact cars on the market today.

The new GM technology has been a long time coming.  GM finally got it right by combining competitors' ideas with their own arsenal of hybrid technology, dating back to the end of last century when GM almost released the first electric vehicle known to man.  Although we wish that electric vehicle had made it past the drawing rooms, in hindsight the fact that it didn't may be part of the reason the Lacrosse is so capable now.  The engine is the brainchild of an electric motor with a lithium ion battery and a 2.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder engine.  Additionally, the eAssist engine adds 15 horsepower to the Lacrosse's magazine.

Such advanced technology, however, will not cost drivers an arm and a leg.  Rather, the 2012 Lacrosse is priced at right around $30,000, just $3,000 over the cost of the past Lacrosse model.

Buick fans are not the only drivers who can be thankful this holiday season, however.  GM is expected to use this same type of technology in other models it sells as well, including perhaps, the GMC Sierra truck.  After all, affordability and environmentally friendly vehicles, in the same shape and design that we've come to love, are something we can all be thankful for.
