NYC locals: 70K enough to live in the UES? studio that is..?
I am relocating to NYC with my current employer. I will making 70k. I found some nice studios between $1400.00 & $1500.00 dollars in the UES. I plan on selling my car and relying on the subway for most transportation and on taxi when out late at night. I am a single 29 year old guy with no dependents. Is this enough or do you think I will go broke?
For the price in rent, not having a car, mass transit costs, food, etc....you should be okay.
