Sell My Car Online Quote
November 28th, 2010 by admin

sell my car online quote
selling to webuyanycar.com?

Hi, i have been given a quote of £4300 for my car. I think privately I could get 4.8 or 5k but can't be bothered to go through the hassel of tyre kickers and dealing privately with the amount of cash.

Has any got any recent experience of wbac.com i.e. what % they try to knock off the initial valuation. I'm not sure i want to attend after reading some of the posts on here, as the 4300 is the bottom price i would accept.

has anyone got the amount shown in the online quotation?

thank you
yeah, its a £49 fee that gets reduced from the total. i have an appointment to take the car. guess i got nothing to loose as if they dont meet the minimum i just drive away!
I had a look at parkers, used car expert and wisebuyers. Parkers showed p/e price at £4700 for 40,000 miles, wisebuys at £4200 p/e and £400 for trade (adjusted to actual milage - 23k). Used car expert showed the low price at £4700 for 23,00 miles.

We used them recently to shift a Mondeo we had no interest in on Autotrader. It was a bit depressing getting a lot less than we originally wanted for it, but at the time we really needed the money so had no choice. Autotrader can also be a waste of time, and time is money.

Overall I would say they were ok to deal with, the guy was alright and as an ex-bodyshop worker knew his stuff, he checked the car over for damage or resprays with a little gadget. If your car is pretty new then that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

How much you get depends on what model you have. Some cars are in high demand, others (like Fords and Vauxhalls) depreciate like nobodys business.

I say go for it. You can always walk away if you don't like what they offer. Haggle and they will up their offer. And top tip- the admin fee is waivable- don't accept the first offer and they will probably take it off!
