How can I sell a car without tags or insurance in Pa?
I would like to sell my car, but insurance ran out and also the registration is expired. I'm sure whoever is interested in it will want to test drive it, but how can I let them in this situation?
Is there a special plate I can get to let someone drive it if I get insurance on the car?
This happens everyday. Just tell the potential buyer that there are no tags or insurance on the vehicle and that any test drive is going to be really short, maybe even up and down the driveway. Most people will stretch that a little. A good buyer can evaluate a car in a very short distance. When I was a professional appraiser I didn't have to move the car more than twenty feet to assess its condition. If the buyer has insurance they may be covered while driving your car.
