Best way to sell my used car?
Hi,
I have a 1999 crown victoria, still in good shape. I'm graduating college in a week and need to sell it before then. Put it on craig's list for a reasonable price but haven't gotten any takers. I'm trying to sell it to a used car lot, perhaps as part of a cosign agreement, but i'm struggling to find places that do those sorts of arrangements. What should I do? What sort of car dealerships would be interested in purchasing a 1999 crown vic?
P.S. I go to school in suburban Philadelphia (Swarthmore, PA, right near Springfield and Media), so if anyone has a specific dealership in mind, that would be incredibly helpful.
I recommend that you check to see that you have the car priced at market value.
The publication Kelly Blue Book is often a good source for information about the market value of a car.
If the car is overpriced, it will not sell.
Also you say that you are gradudating from College. Does this mean that you are buying a new car or a newer car?
You might want to consider keeping that car for a while.
That will certainly cut your expenses if you do not have to go out and buy a new car.
