Personal registration on a leased car?
I've recently decided to lease a car and I'm expecting delivery at the beginning of May. On my old car I had a cherished number plate, which having sold my car is currently held on a retention certificate.
I believe I am able to have this number plate on my new leased car and the leasing company have confirmed this, however other than that they are being really unhelpful and have said it is the responsibility of the finance company, who I've phoned and they say it is up to the leasing company.
Does anyone know the exact procedure for putting a number plate on a new car when it is currently held on a retention certificate?
Well as I understand it you need the logbook to do this. I would suspect your finance company would have this in the case of a contract hire/lease agreement?
