I'm being Sued by a Car dealership What can i do.?
Okay first i never heard of this and too, it's my Mom's friend who is being sued. See She bought a car at a dealership in Sacramento California, She over paid for the car , really she did over pay, well she didn't want the car no more, so she stopped paying for it. Now the car has been repoed . They have sold the car they took back and now they are suing her, to pay the car off, saying 50% of her check will be deducted, and her stuff will be repoed. Till the car is fully paid, yet they took the car back. what can she do?????
It's called a defiency balance; whatever is left owed after the car is sold is her problem. She needs to talk to a good lawyer; but she'll probably still owe. She may have a paycheck garnished; odds are it won't be 50% and they probably won't repo anything else.
