Can I pick up broken car parts and sell it as scrap metal?
I'm a 16 year old with no time for a job but is looking for spare cash and I was wondering if I can sell broken car parts found on the side of the road and highway (like tire rims, sometimes fenders/bumpers, etc.) to scrap metal foundries.
My first question is if it is legal to do this (the 'scrap' doesn't belong to me but then again, not like anyone is looking for it) and my second is how much I could expect to receive by selling it as scrap metal (per pound).
May sound like a pathetic way to earn money but.... I really want money.

To be clear, I didn't say "not like anyone is looking", I said "not like anyone is looking FOR IT", meaning the 'owner' obviously won't be saying "oh no! wheres my broken tire rim!", they most likely left it there intentionally.
