Will the price of scrap metal ever be worthless?
I am wanting to start a scrap yard but people keep telling me the value of metal is going to plummet and that it will soon be worthless. is this true.
Maybe the value will drop and rise for short periods of time but surely growing countries like china and USA will always need metal to build and car manufactures will always need metal so how can i plummet
The cost of separating the metals can exceed the value of the final product ... let's say you have some car batteries containing 1 lb of lead at $5 ... but say it takes one worker 30 minutes to get the lead out ...
If you pay the worker $10 an hour you are at 'break even' (actually, you will be making a huge loss because you have to pay your own wages, taxes, building rent, taxes, license costs, taxes and finally, of course, you also have to pay to dispose of the unwanted waste (and some more Taxes, no doubt..)
