How much should I get for my scrap car? How do I prepare it?
I have a 1984 fleetwood cadillac limousine conversion, and it needs a new fuel pump. I'm trying to find out how to get the most money for it. It has rust and paint, does that matter? It has 2 brand new batteries and 5 decent tires with wheel. What should I do. I'm certainly not interested in paying someone to remove it, and I want to at least recieve the value of the tires and batteries. Please give me some suggestions. If I wanted to scrap the metal, would I have to dismantle it myself? I don't know what to do. I've wasted a lot on it, and I want some compension. I hear that pick and pull will give me $46, but even the wheels are worth more than that.
Advertise the "parting out" of your caddy. Somebody will buy the wheels and put their old ones on yours(most junkyards need wheels on it to remove it). Sell the battery's.Part it out. Then call the junkyard to take it away. You'll make more than expected!!
