Married for 7 months, seperated now 9 months, I filed for divorce and she wants alamony. Can she get it?
She moved from Florida to my home in Missouri, then my career took me to West Virginia. She came to visit me in West Virginia once in 6 months. She don't work and she has about $500,000 in cash and wants me to pay her alamony. She sold her home worth about $155,000 cash and bought a new car cadillac CTS. We are both debt free and I make about 100,000 a year. She make nothing because she is too lazy to work, but she has all the cash. Can she get Alamony since we were together about 7 months? Don't worry she is not going to get alimony. Spousal support is based on many factors. The fact that she has $500,000. in bank account would negate her assertion of "Need."
