how do i unregister a car in my name?
when i was with my ex of 10 months, he bought a car cash from a dealership. he didnt have insurance (i did) so i had to put the car under my name.
about a month ago, we broke up for good, but toll invoices started pouring in left and right.
he finally decided to give me the money he owed for the invoices. He then told me that the car had been junked (this was around mid-April.) i was thinking okay, no more invoices.
today i receive yet another invoice, and it lists dates and times that the car passed through days after he said it'd been towed.
my question is, How can I UNregister my name from the car? or is it possible to do some type of report on him? and if it is, where exactly would i start the process? (i live in miami, florida)

Since you probably don't have access to the car to get the registration or plates, write a letter to the FL DMV and indicate to them that you no longer own the car. Give the date that he car was 'sold'. It will help to give your ex's name and home address. What that will do is cancel the plates and he should get notification that he must come in a register the car in his name or face fines. If he's stopped, his car will be towed and he'll be a-foot. Also, you should cancel your insurance on the car if it is still active. At this point, you are responsible for ANYTHING that happens with the car - tolls, negligent acts of your exBF, etc.
