i there a law that protects a deployed soldiers property/car?
i am a soldier deployed to iraq and a little while back the town where my dad lives foced him to get rid of my car which was sitting in his yard waiting for me to get back. i need to know if theres any laws that protect me from this while im deployed. and if so do they have to reemburse me for the car since it was crushed at a junk yard. if my dad had not gotten rid of it they would have fined him 1000 dollars a day until he did get rid of it.
i didnt even know about it untill after it was done and my dad couldnt afford a storage facility. he's a vietnam vet old and retired lives off his pension. there really wasnt anything else he could do. so i guess im just screwed huh MSG
Being a deployed soldier does not give you the right to create a public nuisance back home.
